Alicia and I took a road trip with our kids to see
Chris, Jill and Laura graduate from BYU Idaho.
If you actually knew what went on 5 minutes prior to this picture above you would laugh. ........ OK, I will tell you........... As soon as we drove into Rexburg, Idaho, Alicia and I decided we wanted to do something fun for the graduates. We thought we had some time so we went to Wal-mart and bought markers, poster board, party horns and the graduates favorite candy. The plan was to hold the signs and blow the horns while they walked out of the building. Yes, embarrassing for most people but not for the Wright's. Well, like I mentioned before we thought we had some time. We were wrong. To make a long story short we didn't have any time. Alicia and I freaked. Just imagine a van full of kids and two moms flying out of the van and frantically coloring poster board in a parking lot on asphalt. Well that is what happen. Of course that is when the baby started crying, my boys started running and jumping everywhere and it gets worse, it was freezing.- Don't worry no one was hurt.- In the end Chris, Jill and Laura loved their signs, candy and yes, it was all worth it.
We decided to take advantage of being with family so we stayed through the weekend. The kids had a blast. What more could a kid want- Staying in a hotel with grandpa and grandma Wright, swimming 3 times a day, eating out, watching as much TV as they want, eating waffles with syrup and sugar cereal every morning for breakfast. What more could an adult want.
Saturday night we had a surprise engagement party for Laura and Dave. It was BEASTIE. We learned a lot about Dave the DURF DEE that night. Only good stuff of course. We headed out on Sunday, but luckily Grandma, Alicia and her kids, Laura, Dave, Jill and Chris came to Boise and played with us for the week. Yes, we had a full house and One Big PARTY. Oh and Dave. I want some more of that carmel popcorn.
