Just Can't Get Enough of Red Fish Lake

We had such a great time at Red Fish at the beginning of the Summer we decided to make one last summer trip before summer ended. Things were a little different this time; First, when we got there the camp host said there had been signs of a BEAR in the area during the nights. Well, that was all the kids had to hear. Especially Emma. We ended up sleeping in our van. Yes, our entire family. We took out all the back seats and made beds. It actually was very, very cozy and the kids loved it. It was so much fun. Second, was the big sign in front of the campsite NO CAMP FIRES. That was the worst news. I don't know if you are like us but camping and campfires just go together. It is our favorite part about camping. Well, we just dealt with it. All I can say is Tin foil dinners are not the same in a pan cooked on a camping stove, and marshmallows roasted on a camping stove flame just doesn't work. Believe me, don't ever try it. Good thing for our lantern. It kept us warm and gave us light so we could still play the good ole games.

Greg took the kids on a motor boat ride for a couple of hours.

4 was the limit so I stayed on shore and relaxed.

Greg carved these 'tiki" figures for the boys and made them into necklaces.

The boys were very proud. When Greg was carving Dylan said,

"Dad, is there anything you can't do?" It was very cute.
